Rising Five has just released ‘No Death Reborn’, the group’s massive, premier EP mixed and co-produced by Kane Churko (Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, and more). The modern, hard-driving rock band was founded by members of the German melodic metal band Messiah’s Kiss. Capitalizing on the songwriting magic produced when that band’s singer, Mike Tirelli, bass player Wayne Banks, and guitarist Jason Banks started writing together, they decided to start their own band, one with a fresh, heavy and decidedly modern rock sound. The trio rounded out the group’s lineup with good friend Tim Brown on drums, to form RISING FIVE.
The strength and fever-pitched intensity of the band's songs, as well as New York native Tirelli's powerful voice--which can be likened to David Coverdale and Ronnie James Dio, associations not made lightly--caught the attention of renowned producer Kane Churko. Kane and his father, Kevin, are some of today's top rock/metal producers, whose production and song-crafting skills help to complete Rising Five's musical mission.
Mike Tirelli, Rising Five's singer and songwriter, started his career with the bands Burning Starr, Holy Mother and Riot, and in 2016 was called "one of the best metal singers ever" by German media. UK bass player and songwriter Wayne Banks' first professional gig was with the iconic British thrash metal band Sabbat, featuring acclaimed metal producer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Killswitch Engage, Judas Priest). Wayne then played with the Bee Gees legend Robin Gibb's solo band from 2003 until tragic death in 2012. With Gibb's band, he gained vast worldwide-touring and recording experience, as well as making TV and radio appearances.
Formed in 2002, Messiah's Kiss - a transcontinental unit which features members from Germany, New York and Nottingham, England - saw its popularity soar in 2015 when it recorded a remake of Depeche Mode's "It's No Good". With the support of SPV and Massacre Records, Messiah's Kiss has had growing success in Europe, playing some of the continent's largest metal festivals: Germany's Wacken Open Air, Magic Circle, and Dong Open Air festivals; as well as the UK's Bloodstock festival.
